Dressmaker is a hands-on dressmaking game by Cozy Lives, published by Free Lives. It launched on September 21, 2026. You plan a design, select fabric, cut pattern pieces, sew them and add decoration.
How much does Dressmaker cost?
The developers announced a US base price of $14.99 with regional pricing. This is the announced base price, not a live quote or a promise of a current discount. Open the official Steam store while signed into your region to see today's price and any offers.
The Steam game is paid. To try the sewing loop first, use the separate free itch.io prototype.
What do you get in the full game?
The Steam description includes customer commissions, reputation and coins, and selling your own dresses from the shop window. Design tools include a sketchbook, fabric choices for individual panels, pattern cutting, machine sewing, buttons, bows, appliqué and lace decoration. These are useful reasons to consider the full game after trying the prototype.
The official listing describes single-player play, Steam achievements and Steam Cloud. It does not advertise multiplayer as a currently available feature.
Can my computer run it?
Steam lists Windows and macOS. Check the platform and system requirements against your machine before purchasing. The Steam version lists English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese for interface, audio and subtitles. A Switch or mobile port is planned, without an announced release date in the sources checked here.
Is the game right for me?
If selecting materials, arranging pattern pieces and manually assembling a garment sound appealing, try the prototype. If you are unsure about the sewing interaction, trying it yourself is more useful than judging screenshots. Read the beginner guide to understand the workflow before your first commission.
